The Benton MacKaye Trail Association (BMTA) is dedicated to constructing, maintaining, and preserving the Benton MacKaye Trail for current and future generations of hikers. Formed in 1980, the association fosters outdoor recreation, wilderness experiences, and a strong conservation ethic among its members and the public.
