Advocates for Community Alternatives (ACA) is a non-profit organization based in the U.S. and Ghana, founded in 2016. ACA empowers West African communities to defend their rights and pursue sustainable development in the face of extractive industry challenges. Through legal assistance, advocacy, and partnerships with public interest lawyers, ACA supports these communities in designing effective development plans that align with their needs and cultural contexts.
