Mission

Founded in 1989 by returned Peace Corps Volunteers, Friends of Guatemala aims to promote cooperation, understanding, and goodwill between the peoples of Guatemala and the United States, with a primary focus on supporting education in Guatemala. The organization funds scholarships for students, particularly at the basico level, helping them continue their education and empower communities.
