CHAP was formed to fill the gap left by the closure of the Lynchburg Area AIDS Service Organization. The organization focuses on educating the community about HIV/AIDS and providing various services aimed at prevention and support for affected individuals in Central Virginia. It plays a crucial role in coordinating local efforts and initiatives related to HIV education and care.
