Mission
Friends of Heinz Refuge (FOHR) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1997 to assist the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service in achieving its educational, interpretive, and public use goals. FOHR serves to connect people with nature and foster a sense of environmental stewardship through diverse programs, including educational field trips, summer camps, and community events at the John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge.
