The Meteoritical Society, founded in 1933, is a non-profit scholarly organization that promotes research and education in planetary science. With a membership of over 1000 scientists and enthusiasts from 52 nations, the Society records all known meteorites in its Meteoritical Bulletin and publishes leading journals in the field. It organizes annual meetings, supports young planetary scientists, and collaborates with other scholarly organizations to achieve its goals.
