Middle East Cystic Fibrosis Association

Mission

The Middle East Cystic Fibrosis Association (MECFA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing health outcomes for cystic fibrosis (CF) patients across the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia. MECFA focuses on improving access to essential therapies, early diagnosis, training healthcare professionals, and advocating for patient rights regarding CF care. Given that only 1 in 10 CF patients in the region currently have access to specialized care, MECFA aims to bridge this gap through strategic partnerships, training, and community outreach.
