Friends of the Rio Grande Nature Center

Mission

The Friends of the Rio Grande Nature Center (FRGNC) is dedicated to supporting the Park and its staff to maintain and enrich the oasis in the middle of Albuquerque. They raise funds through membership fees, donations, and grants and engage approximately 1,200 members, including over 150 active volunteers who contribute over 12,000 hours annually. Their programs include ecological research, education for schoolchildren, and community partnerships to enhance nature education.
