FMIA was created by a group of individuals and entrepreneurs from the private sector who are passionate about protecting families from the devastation caused by floods. The organization aims to help homeowners and business owners understand the steps to take for future flood protection, lower flood insurance rates, and educate policy makers on the necessity of mitigation as opposed to recovery.
