Mission
Established in 1991, the Chief Joseph Foundation empowers local youth in the region through activities and education related to the Tribe's most culturally significant animal: the Appaloosa horse. The Foundation promotes Nez Perce cultural bonds with the horse and fosters personal growth and individual achievements of at-risk youth.
