Mission
Native Skywatchers is an initiative aimed at remembering and revitalizing Indigenous star and earth knowledge. It focuses on inspiring cultural pride among Indigenous youth, improving educational inequities, and fostering community wellness through a deepened understanding of both the cosmos and earthly relationships. The initiative conducts indigenous astronomy revitalization efforts, beginning with the Ojibwe and D/Lakota communities, and invites people to participate in building a community around native star knowledge.
