The North Carolina Statewide Independent Living Council (NC SILC) is a federally-mandated council that partners with Centers for Independent Living to support individuals with disabilities in living independently in their communities. Established to identify the needs of people with disabilities and create a three-year State Plan for Independent Living, the council works to enhance independent living options, advocacy, and support across North Carolina.
