Mission

Founded in 1958, the Biophysical Society exists to foster the growth and dissemination of knowledge in the field of biophysics. Its membership, exceeding 7,000, includes scientists working in academia, industry, and government agencies globally. The Society facilitates collaboration, advances education, and promotes research through meetings, publications, and initiatives focused on advocacy and outreach.
