The National Association of Black Scuba Divers (NABS) was established in 1991 to foster camaraderie among African American divers and to address unique challenges faced by the African-American community. It aims to provide training and support for youth interested in diving, promote educational opportunities in marine sciences, and encourage conservation and appreciation of the aquatic environment.
