Fisher house michigan is a not-for-profit organization formed to improve the quality of life of our military members, retirees, veterans, and their families and caregivers. the organization supports the construction and operations of comfort homes built near va medical centers in michigan, called zachary and elizabeth m. fisher houses. the organization works to inform the veteran community, their families, and the general public about fisher houses, and provides necessary support to fisher house operations as needed. fisher house michigan presently supports operations at the fisher house at ltc charles s. kettles va medical center in ann arbor, and is raising capital and program funds for the future house at the john d. dingell va medical center in detroit.

We connect scientists with the general public through research, education, and advocacy so that more people can make informed decisions for a healthier life and society. our volunteer students learn to perform computational research and to lead school clubs to educate other students. in 2021, we initiated mircore vaccine advocacy to bring more people vaccinated against covid 19. all activities are geared to democratize medical research and to build gene-literate american citizenry.

Emmaus health promotes the dignity of the human person by integrating medical science with the social and moral principles of the catholic church. guided by this process, we are developing a primary care model and creating educational resources, advocacy programs, and research designed to improve the health of individuals and communities, particularly the most vulnerable.
