The Metropolitan Golf Writers Association (MGWA), established in 1952, is dedicated to celebrating golf's traditions and achievements. Each year, MGWA honors notable individuals and organizations in the sport through its National Awards Dinner, which serves as a major fundraiser for caddie scholarships and other golf-related causes in the New York metropolitan area.
