The Philadelphia Urban Riding Academy (PURA) is dedicated to fostering positive experiences for students through equine-related activities. By revitalizing Fletcher Street Stables and preserving the legacy of Black urban horsemanship, PURA aims to connect the youth of Philadelphia with the historic culture of urban cowboys, providing them with opportunities to learn about and care for horses.
