Mission

Sankofa Children’s Museum of African Cultures is a children's museum located in Baltimore that was founded in 2016. Its mission is to bring African culture and history to life for children, creating an immersive and participatory environment. The museum houses a permanent collection of African art alongside changing exhibits on various African countries, ethnic groups, and traditions.
