Mission

The maine irish heritage center is the hub of all things irish in maine. our mission is to provide a community resource where connections to maine's irish history and culture can flourish. initiatives supporting the mission include:-protecting, preserving and restoring the national historic landmark that was formerly st. dominic's church, a hub of early irish community in maine;-providing a center for maine's diverse communities to share their cultural experiences through educational programs and community events;-housing maine's irish genealogical center, museum, archives and library, preserving the story of irish history in maine.
