Mission

The mission and purpose of the ymca is to put christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. ymca programs emphasize four core values - caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. we serve men, women, and children of all ages, races, abilities, incomes, and religions. as a charitable, community- based organization, we seek to identify community needs and to respond to them in such a way that the entire community benefits; the ymca's commitment in this regard is that no one is denied membership or program participation due to inability to pay, so financial assistance is provided to those who need it, to the extent funds are available to do so. in 2022, the ymca provided $43,416 in financial assistance to 149 children in our child care programs and $19,988 to 611 individuals of all ages for ymca memberships.
