Mission
American Public Square (APS) is a Kansas City-based community organization founded in 2013 to foster civil discourse in an increasingly polarized society. The organization aims to improve public discourse through various community-oriented programs, events, and initiatives. APS believes that constructive dialogue can heal communities and strengthen democracy by allowing individuals to engage with different viewpoints respectfully and thoughtfully.
