Mission

The purpose of the kingsbridge historical society is to serve as trustee of the rich historical and cultural legacy of the greater kingsbridge region of new york city, including spuyten duyvil, riverdale, van cortlandt, marble hill, and inwood. the society is dedicated to gathering and disseminating information, fostering general interest and specialized research, collecting and preserving relics, and promoting kindred aims. it seeks to fulfill its function by such means as maintaining a website, programs and exhibits, press and platform, cooperation with the schools, and the placing of markers.
