The Southern Political Science Association (SPSA) is one of the oldest and largest political science organizations in the United States, founded in 1929. The association supports academic research in political science and creates opportunities for networking and mentoring among its membership through conferences, awards, and various resources. It publishes the Journal of Politics, which serves as a platform for diverse and innovative research in the field.
