The American Overseas Memorial Day Association (AOMDA) was established in Belgium in 1923 to honor and preserve the memory of American military personnel who lost their lives in World Wars I and II. It focuses on organizing Memorial Day ceremonies at American cemeteries in Belgium, preserving the graves of servicemen buried in isolated graves, and engaging in youth outreach programs to promote the value of freedom and remembrance.
