Mission
Founded in 1936, the Midwest Sociological Society (MSS) is a professional organization for academic and applied sociologists and students. MSS is focused on upholding ethical standards, promoting sociological knowledge sharing, supporting diversity and inclusion, and providing professional development opportunities within a nine-state area while welcoming global membership. The organization organizes annual meetings, publishes research, and offers awards and grant programs to its members.
