The Maxwell Street Klezmer Band, founded in 1983, is the Midwest's premier klezmer band, known for its energetic performances that blend traditional klezmer music with contemporary influences. The band engages audiences of all backgrounds by performing at concerts, weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, and other celebrations, while also providing educational outreach in schools and community organizations.
