The Swiss Benevolent Society of Philadelphia was founded in 1860 to help deserving natives of Switzerland and their descendants. The Society provides financial assistance, including gifts and loans, as well as support for educational initiatives and disaster relief. Over its history, the Society has also extended aid to individuals and organizations outside of Swiss lineage when resources allow.
