The United Negro College Fund (UNCF) is the nation’s largest and most effective minority education organization. Established in 1944, it helps students not only attend college but thrive, graduate, and become leaders. The organization provides scholarships, funds for historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs), and advocates for minority education and community engagement.

UNCF's 37 member HBCUs provide more than 55,000 students with quality education at tuitions that are on average 26% less than comparable institutions. The organization helps improve outcomes for these schools and students.
