Her story, inc. is an emergency transitional housing program for women, ages 18-30, who are battling drug and alcohol addiction in montgomery and greene county. her story, inc. provides some basic holistic focus areas (physical, spiritual, emotional, etc.). these services are modified and/or custom made to accommodate the specific needs of the participants.

To help families experiencing homelessness and low-income families achieve sustainable independence through a community-based response.in 2022, the organization provided temporary housing assistance to 132 individuals from 47 families. of these, 73 were children, with 39 of them being age 5 or younger. the organization was able to help 23 families obtain stable housing as well as provide prevention and/or stabilization services to an additional 192 individuals. the organizaiton provides life skills training, supllies, food, transportation and job search assistance to those staying in their program. approximately 6,100 bed nights were provided in 2022.

To operate a building used in connection with, among other things, providing substance abuse treatment facilities, stable temporary housing as transition support coming out of substance abuse treatment facilities, and providing long-term life skills to those people as well as young adults emancipating from foster care.
