To intentionally address historic economic and social inequities in the renewable and clean energy industry (rcei). the goal of the organization is to create a more diverse, equitable and inclusive community and promote social and economic well-being, both within the rcei and the communities and populations that the rcei services.

Jackson-reed tiger athletics inc. [formerly known as wilson tiger athletics, inc.] (tiger boosters) is a dc-based nonprofit established by a group of parents who were committed to supporting jackson-reed high school's strong tradition of excellence through supporting the schools athletics. tiger boosters support ranges from building community, to financial support, to identifying and sharing best practices for team management. tiger boosters works closely with jackson-reed's athletic department and teams in determining priorities.

To eradicate homelessness for lgbtqia2s+ youth ages 18-24 and to ensure that they have access to services that improve their overall quality of life through advocacy and programming. the waf opened its doors in 2008 as the only housing program in washington, dc solely dedicated to offering pre-independent transitional living and support services to lgbtqia2s+ youth who are experiencing homelessness or who are at risk in all 8 wards. additionally, the mission of the wanda alston counseling center (wacc) is to provide trauma informed and culturally competent mental health services and support to lgbtqia2s+ individuals in the d.c. area who are survivors of intimate partner violence and/or sexual assault.
