The mission of the waseca county historical society is to collect, preserve, interpret and disseminate the history of waseca county and its citizens; and to create excitement and interest in that past.

The waseca area neighborhood service center offers resources to those who want to improve their lives.

To sponsor and conduct the holding of what is now known as the waseca sleigh & cutter festival for the purpose of stimulating civic interests and participation in the outdoor activities and winter sports available to and in the community of waseca, and to do any and all acts necessary and incidental to accomplish the purpose of this organization. further, the association shall provide scholarships to area schools and to the miss waseca sleigh & cutter. another goal is to provide funding to local organizations like the 4-h and waseca county fair.

To provide community with access to affordable indoor skating ice and a community gathering space.

Promote social, cultural and economic climate of the arts in waseca county.

To provide safe snowmobile trails for the pleasure and recreation of waseca county

Provides meals & meaningful social activities in a central location for sr citizens in the community and also provides supplemental employment opportunities (cottage industries) to seniors for economical and social benefit
