Public safety volunteer ambulance and fire company. holds annual firemans carnival. this is the main source of fundraising. all help is voluntary. all funds go directly to the fire company which provides fire ,safety and ems to the community.

Slocum twp volunter fire & ambulance company is an all volunteer organization that responds to ems and fire emergencies withhin the community it serves. this organization uses the funds it receives form all sources for fire and ambulance equipment and volunteer training so that they are prepared for public emergencies when called upon. in addition to responding to public emergencies, the organization also promotes firesafety and ems briefings to public schoolds, girl and boy scout groups, and holds regular open houses of their factilities for the general public.
