The friends of the franklin county regional dog shelter, a non- profit corporation governed by the laws of massachusetts, was established to support the operation of the franklin county regional dog shelter and adoption center. the friends believe that all dogs are entitled to a life free of unnecessary pain and suffering in a home with a responsible guardian. we hold, therefore, that it is our moral responsibility to protect and improve the lives of franklin county's abused, abandoned and homeless dogs and to arrange for their adoption into loving, permanent homes.

To provide health care services education to health care professionals, businesses, educational institutions and community members in identifying and responding to medical emergencies.

To provide life skills education, in an independent living environment for adolescents involved with dss and other local and state agencies. also to provide drop in services, counseling and educational services to own, rehabilitate and lease affordable housing with the primary purpose of educating, teaching, training and inculcating in men with special housing needs particularly with substance use and addiction needs with the life skills required for independent living in the community.
