The mission and purpose of the ymca is to put christian principles into action through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. ymca programs focus on four core values: caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility, we serve men, women and children of all ages, races, abilities, incomes and religions. we provide financial assistance to those who need it. we identify needs within our community and respond to them so that the entire community benefits from our efforts. no one is ever denied participation or membership to the ymca regardless of race, religion or inability to pay.

Sharing the love of christ while promoting sexual integrity and bringing life affirming services to those unprepared for pregnancy or hurt by abortion

The taylorville ministerial association (tma) is an interdenominational corporation comprised of a fellowship of christian county religious organizations, chaplain offices at christian county hospitals, and approved ministries/missions/subsidaries of the tma. the tma board of directors makes final determinations as to what is an approved ministry/misson/subsidiary. the tma promotes cooperation among the religious groups in the community and works ecumenically for the spiritual,moral, and social benefit of the city and its surrounding areas. the tma is comprised of the following ministries/missions/subsidaries: taylorville food pantry, community garden, missions for taylorville, safe passage, and emergency assistance fund.

Collect and donate household items, including clothing from the general public for resale. proceeds donated to local charities (ex...shadowhome and taylorville emergency food bank)
