Amikids, inc. ("amikids") is affiliated with 58 charitable organizations (40 are currently active and the remaining organizations are currently inactive and may be reopened) that operate programs for troubled youth and eleven entities that hold property and provide fundraising and other support to those operating entities (collectively, the "group members"). amikids and the group members operate programs that rehabilitate troubled youth. amikids' most significant activity is the provision of unified leadership, management and direction to the group members. for example, amikids sets comprehensive pay plan policies, administers the conflict of interest policy and sets competitive bid processes for the group members. amikids' juvenile justice programs offer an attractive alternative to juvenile incarceration that is less expensive and more effective than incarceration. amikids' other programs are also more effective and less expensive than more restrictive programs.
