The organization makes grants to individuals who are suffering financial hardship. one common hardship is medical such as a cancer diagnosis requiring off island treatment other hardships come from fire or hurricane damage to an uninsured or under insured home. the concept of the revolving fund is that, if able, the individual receiving the grant would someday pay some or all back-so that funds are available for the next individual.
