The mission of the everhart museum of natural history, science, and art is to foster knowledge and enjoyment of natural history, science, art, and culture through a variety of exhibitions, educational programs, and events for people of all ages and backgrounds throughout northeastern pennsylvania. the museum cares for the extensive collections entrusted to it to preserve the region's cultural and natural heritage as well as to document cultures and natural objects from around the world, facilitating a deeper connection between the community and the world around them.

The mission of the catherine mcauley center is to directly minister to women and to the economically poor. the catherine mcauley center commits itself to meeting the housing needs of women providing temporary shelter for women and children who are in crisis which leaves them homeless or without substantial resources; providing programs and supportive services that assist women in obtaining permanent housing which is safe, decent, and affordable; by providing a support system for the women and a bridge to self reliance; by assessing those who need assistance in accessing medical and community resources.

Electric city trolley museum association supports the lackawanna county electric city trolley station and museum supplying trained motormen, curating museum exhibits and providing historical knowledge.

Dedicated to developing and expanding the leisure and recreational interests for persons with disabilities and special needs. we make use of existing resources and facilities as well as volunteer services to initiate pilot programs as well as cooperative community ventures with social service agencies.

To provide meals at no charge to the needy

The women's resource center's mission is to eliminate domestic violence and sexual assault abuse through advocacy, education, system change, and empowering services to all surviors. the center provides sexual assault and domestic violence intervention services 24 hours a day, emergency safe house services, transitional and rapid rehousing services, civil legal representation services and counseling to adult, teen, and child victims of domestic and sexual violence.

Provides nourishing, well-balanced meals to homebound, elderly, and/or disabled persons throughout lackawanna county to improve the health and quality of life of the local community.

Work with community partners to promote entrepreneurship, innovation and the knowledge economy in nepa.

The foundation will raise funds for other 501(c)(3) organizations seeking a cure for cancer, those that help care for or treat children suffering from cancer, and those that help families cope with both financial and emotional burdens of having a child suffer from cancer.
