Niagara engine company no 6 inc. is a 100% volunteer non-profit 501(3)c organization whose mission is to protect life and property in the village and town of schoharie, from fire and other related dangers, and to provide assistance to other fire companies on a reciprocal basis, and to these ends, of constituting a unit of, and providing manpower for, the fire department of the village of schoharie. the company provides programs that emphasize public safety, disaster preparedness and relief, focusing specifically on fire prevention, protection and control.

Library association to help patrons obtain information that meets their personal, educational and professional needs.

To respond to emergency calls and to provide basic and advanced life support to residents of schoharie and wright counties.
