Since 1977 we have empowered community based organizations to advance environmental protection. our program areas include climate and energy, open space and wildlife, clean water and santa barbara channel. we primarily work within santa barbara, ventura and san luis obispo counties. edc is organized as a sec. 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, and provides legal counsel to other nonprofit organizations. we remain the only such public interest environmental law firm between los angeles and san francisco, and thrive on the support of community members from within our region and beyond.

Freedom 4 youth's (f4y) mission is to uplift and empower youth to build safe and compassionate communities. f4y partners with ucsb, santa barbara city college, the workforce investment board of santa barbara county, the santa barbara county probation department and other community partners at-large, to provide both the individual and familiy re-entry support services and case management in a community setting. youth are supported to define their own education and career pathway and develop an individual action plan with measurable goals for independent living and a drug-free lifestyle.

The santa barbara arts collaborative (sbac) is an inclusive group of artists and arts supporters committed to sustaining and growing all forms of the arts in santa barbara. sbac welcomes all to participate in the focused support of individual artists and arts organizations that contribute to the unique cultural ecology of our community

C.a.r.e. 4paws' mission is to reduce pet overpopulation and improve pet family welfare.

To foster a community of local youth and mentors; to provide them with incredible opportunities; to support them in academics, community service, enrichment, and the sport of squash.

Importa provides services to the following populations: detained individuals, domestic violence victims, farm workers, human trafficking survivors, individuals who are not in legal immigration status. legal assistance in the following areas are provided; adjustment of status, asylum applications, consular processing, deferred action for childhood arrivals (daca), family-based petitions, nacara, naturalization/citizenship, removal hearings, special immigrant juvenile status, t visas, temporary protected status (tps), u visas, violence against women act (vawa) petitions

San marcos kids helping kids foundation is a student-run nonprofit organization based at san marcos high school. students raise money through events during the year in order to give money back to local or global organizations and disadvantaged youth. the successful production of events is also a part of our mission. students gain leadership, organizational, negotiation, fiscal responsibility and management skills through the operations of the foundation. for the fiscal year ended 6/30/2023, the foundation remained on hiatus due to covid-19 and had very limited activity.
