The southern california marine institute mission is to foster marine research and education, focusing on urban impacts of the greater los angeles region on the coastal ocean. we seek to improve scientific understanding and the development of solutions that will enable coastal waters and watersheds to thrive, adapt and become resilient to ongoing environmental stressors.

To provide public charitable assistance by (a)implementing the san pedro community plan and coastal plan for cabrillo beach, located in san pedro, ca; (b)restoring and preserving the historic cabrillo beach bathhouse, a public building; (c)planning and implementing educational, environmental, and other public uses of the cabrillo beach area.

To empower the homeless and working poor to achieve self sufficiency by providing support services including shelter, transitional housing, food, job placement, advocacy, childcare, education and life-skills training.

To assist men to recover from the diseases of alcoholism and addiction to other drugs

To provide quality, comprehensive, healthcare and supportive services to those in our community, regardless of their ability to pay.

Rainbow services provides shelter and support to anyone impacted by domestic violence, empowering them to move beyond trauma, towards safety and stability.

To provide space for artists to work and to engage community through arts education, exhibitions of contemporary art, and cultural events.

The house of hope foundation provides state-certified and licensed alcohol and drug recovery homes for women ages 18 years and older.

Assist harbor area families and individuals by delivering life-changing services. (see sch o)

Oceanbased youth character building leadership development and maritime vocational training

Love in the name of christ (love inc) brings christian churches together across denominational lines. to help the poor by meeting immediate needs such as food and clothing to longer term responses through relational ministries such as life skills training and transitional housing.

Mission of organization is to provide a strong foundation for lifelong recovery from the disease of addiction.
