Since 1959, the mission neighborhood centers (mnc), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, with 16 centers in the mission, excelsior, mission bay and bayview districts, provides quality programs that promote empowerment, education, self-sufficiency and community growth for the san francisco's low income children, youth, families and seniors through our child development programs (429 children, ages 0-5 years old), youth programs (761 youth ages 6-24), family resource center services, workforce development (368 youth & young adults ages 15 to 35), adults with disabilities programs (650 seniors, ages 60+ and adults with disabilities)and rental assistance (1300 tenants).

Founded in 1952, pomeroy recreation and rehabilitation center (prrc) is a not-for-profit organization that provides recreational, vocational and educational opportunities for people with disabilities through programs and services that encourage self-expression, promote personal achievement, and lead to greater independence. the organization provides direct care to more than 1,000 adults and children with intellectual/developmental disabilities as well as traumatic/acquired brain injuries.
