Construction, maintenance, promotion, and fund raising for trails and greenways in the roanoke valley of virginia. completing 22 continuous miles of greenway along the roanoke river is the number one priority. total volunteer hours for 2022 were 3,764. indirect expenses for equipment, tools, maintenance, and volunteers included as program expense.

The zoo uses all funds received to foster appreciation and promote understanding of conservation of animals and their related habitats through the use of quality exhibits and educational programs. funds are also used to work in cooperation with other animal conservation and breeding programs.

Angels of assisi seeks to change the traditional definition of an animal shelter by offering services and programs to benefit the community, the people that live there and the pets they love. the organization operates the largest private animal shelter in the roanoke valley, as well as a low cost community pet clinic and farm animal sanctuary.

Southeast rural community assistance proect, inc. was organized for the purpose of promoting tand assisting the development of water and wastewater facilities in maryland, delaware, virginia, north carolina, south carolina, georgia, and florida. the primary concern is for low-income persons who lack the resources, both financially and politically, to obtain adequate water and wastewater facilities. since 1969, southeast rural community assistance project, inc. has also assisted in the development of facilities in low-income rural areas by: organizing people, helping apply for financing, coordinating system design of individual well sites, and providing information related to the construction, operations, and maintenance of water and wastewater facilities.
