Lux in tenebris's mission is to help spread the preaching of the true gospel of christ in nigeria by facilitating the provision of financial support to reformed churches theological outreaches such as seminaries pastoral training and all efforts that are aimed at sound biblical education in nigeria.

The organization's main purpose is to provide a community-based, ecumenical ministry for children and families who are dealing with personal crisis and are seeking assistance to improve their current situation. direct services may include but are not limited to children's housing, behavior management, counseling, parenting groups, group counseling, assessments and referrals, living skills and education.
