The service league of san mateo county is a non-profit agency that develops, coordinates, and delivers programs, services, and other activities within all san mateo county jails as well as provides post-release services for inmates. the agency operates an intensive residential substance use disorder program for women and their infants as well as transitional housing for women and men at five program sites in the community. since 1961 the service league of san mateo county has provided compassionate services and created hope for thousands of county jail inmates and their families.

Adaptive physical education is a community exercise program designed to improve or prevent chronic diseases, disabilities, or health impairments. this program includes adaptive techniques, specialized equipment, and individualized assistance and training. it is a place to get fit, enjoy community, and maintain an independent lifestyle. one of our most significant apr activities are currently offering our general conditioning group classes, and open gym for customized programs, and a variety of specialty classes, including chair yoga, pulmonary maintenance, and multiple levels of parkinson's exercise on a year round basis. we also sponsor active aging annually in october.
