Forest hills volunteer fire company provides fire and emergency services to the 3,500 residential and commercial units in the borough of forest hills. the vfd also provides services to the neighboring communities through mutual and automatic aide.

To improve the well being of the lgbtq (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning)communities, the hiv/aids communities, and the allies of all of these communities.

Pca&m advances excellence in the arts, including studio, media, and creative writing. to achieve its mission, pca&m provides equipment and facilities for individual artists, conducts educational programs, and stimulates public awareness and understanding through classes, camps, workshops, artist residencies, exhibitions and events to cultivate a thriving arts community.

The purpose of the organization is to provide an opportunity for the children of township residents to learn and play baseball. the emphasis of the program is to create a recreational & instructional environment in which the participants can have fun, learn to play the game of baseball and enjoy the experience of a team sport.

Central housing for the low income elderly

The artists and caftmen's guild provides space and instructor's for artists to work. provides instruction to people seeking to learn art. provides exhibit space for artists to display, sell their works.

Higher education

The pleasant hills public library is the community's center for lifelong learning and leisure. in addition to loaning books, e-books, periodicals, dvd's and other materials, the library offers free wifi and has computers for internet access. a wide variety of programs are available for children, teens, adults and seniors.
