We provide children opportunities to learn about nature, arts, and friendship. we make our program available to children who cannot afford to go to camp and offer them camping, arts, theatre, and other educational programs. we help campers develop self-esteem, independent and group living skills, and to appreciate nature.

The specific and primary purpose of the corporation is a civic league devoted to the promotion of social welfare through charitable, educational, and recreational activities. this is achieved by offering myriad classes, theatre, dance and music performances, and other community activities.

The restoration of natural systems in the mattole valley watershed and their maintenance at sustainable levels of health and productivity, especially in regards to forests, fisheries, soils, and other native plant and animal communities.

Mattole valley resource center's (mvrc) mission is to provide a wide range of services and programs to promote, support, enrich and sustain resilient individuals, strong families, and a healthy community. services may include but not be limited to: connecting community members to resources; providing health, wellness, and educational programs, activities and support groups; and creating opportunities to enhance and sustain community life.
