Counseling services to individuals for substance abuse, domestic violence, general classes, anger management, day sessions, parenting classes, ged and other educational classes. supply clothing and food to needy.

Coordinate and facilitate the efforts of organized fire departments and rescue squads in blount county, alabama. provide training for firefighters, ems, and rescue personnel in blount county as well as other alabama county personnel as needed. provide special operations (hazardous material and/or technical rescue) response as is necessary to alleviate hazards to the public, other firefighters, or the environment in blount county or other jurisdictions as requested. educate the public of the hazards of fire and smoke, the protection available to the individual with the proper use and maintenance of smoke detectors and fire extinguishers, the principles of fire prevention and the hazards of improper storage and handling of flammable and other hazardous materials. educate the public about trauma, burns, cardiac, and other medical conditions, prevention, as well as awareness of signs and symptoms of these conditions and to call 911. the association in its activities shall not be partisan,

The blount county education foundation, inc. was incorporated as a nonprofit organization on november 18, 1998 to promote academic excellence in blount county schools.

Comprehensive educational programs for individuals, convicted in jefferson, blount, and st. clair counties, of drug, alcohol, or driving related offences. classes are designed to reduce recidivism and lower number of substance abuse and misuse offences.

It is our responsibility to provide fire response vehicles, medically equipped vehicles, woods fire fighting equipment. we assist with traffic control for wrecks. with storm damage, we clear debris and assist in recovery. we also assist residents after falls and assist in moving from cars to homes.
