Manage the oil region national heritage area in northwestern pennsylvania including economic and community development, tourism and recreation.

Committed to providing counseling and education in family living; providing adoption services; providing training and educational opportunities to students in the field of social service; strengthening and preserving the quality of family life for its consumers and community through support, education and empowerment; encouraging its consumer, through a variety of services, to strive for positive changes and adjustment to life situations; providing services to victims of sexual and domestic violence, and other crimes; to work toward providing a safer community, and otherwise to manifest an interest and concern for social and economic problems including the general welfare of the family.

The foundation serves clarion, forest and venango counties to develop, manage, and disrtibute funding to meet the present and future needs of the communities in our service area. individuals, families, businesses , and organizations build permanent funds to help the communities meet the challenges of changing times. the foundation invests these funds using the earnings to fund grants to support educational, health, hamanitarian and cultural needs of the people and organizations in the local areas described above.

Promote and supplement the athletic program of the oil city area school district by helping to fund 15 different co-curricular activities and to purchase and donate equipment.

Emmaus haven is a temporary homeless shelter program for men and women that will encourage them to rebuild their lives; personally and spiritually in a warm, safe haven.

The scenic rivers ymca is a non-profit community based charitable organization dedicated to the development of the total individual in mind, body and spirit. we strive to strengthen kids, families, individuals and communities and improve the quality of life through value based programs emphasizing caring, respect, honesty and responsibility. our ymca welcomes all people regardless of religion, race, income, ability or sex.

To provide support, encourage and empower youth in the private, social, academic and other dimensions of their lives; to augment and or complement services in venango county for youth.

To plant resources, grow opportunities and nurture hope for the future with the individuals and families we serve.

The regional counseling center, inc. is a private non-profit outpatient mental health clinic in rural northwest pennsylvania. the agency provides outpatient counseling, psychiatric evaluations and medication monitoring to a wide variety of diagnostic groups and ages ranges to the area's indigent.

To help socialize the mentally challenged in the venango county region.

The oil city civic center, in partnership with the community, will provide a myriad of cultural and educational experiences and opportunities solely for charitable purposes. we seek to assist each resident of venango county to enrich his quality of life. we further seek to house and preserve county wide nonprofit organizations in maintaining and developing community outreach efforts with the understanding that we recognize the historical significance of the national transit building and annex, and we are committed to its preservation. in 1978 the national transit building was placed on the national register of historical places and the pennsylvania inventory of historical places. it was built in 1890 for a cost of $90,000. our operations will be entirely free from profit motive.

Provide for the public safety by maintaining professionally trained fire fighting and ambulance personnel. volunteer fire department where all fundraising is used to purchase and maintain fire and ambulance equipment.
