To support the needs of the members of the northport volunteer fire department; the purpose of the department's existence is to provide fire protection and ambulance service to the village of northport and its fire protection districts.

To collect, hold, and dispense donations from persons and organizations in the northport community to provide a death benefit for any and all members of the northport fire department, village of northport.

To provide child care facility for employees at a reasonable and affordable cost.

To provide workers' compensation coverage for long island public school districts through a plan of self insurance.
