The new orleans hispanic heritage foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and showcasing the hispanic character, culture, customs and values in the new orleans area. one of our key efforts is to provide scholarship opportunities to talented area high school and university students who may benefit from financial assistance in order to continue their education.

Friends of wwoz, inc. operates a noncommerical, educational radio station which was [cont'd on sch o] licensed to operate by the federal commmunications commission on october 29, 1981. the station's call letters are wwoz-fm the mission of the station is to celebrate the cultural diversity of new orleans and its surrounding regions through music and information. the station is funded mainly by federal and state grants, support from the new orleans jazz and heritage foundation, community fundraising and underwriting contributions. the broadcast hours of the radio station were 8,760 for 2022.

The louisiana center for law and civic education, inc. was organized to institutionalize law-related curricula in louisiana schools, the justice system, and the broader community; to serve as a centralized office and support network for existing and developing law-related education programs in the state of louisiana; to provide a permanent law-related education organization for sharing common resources statewide; to conduct awareness seminars on law-related education for teachers, administrators, and community members; and to develop law-related education teaching materials.

To create resilient gulf coast communities that are environmentally sustainable, financially viable and personally cohesive. common ground relief remains committed to its grassroots, volunteer-based approach to community transformation and sustainability. achieves its mission by focusing on restoring and preserving louisiana's disappearing coastal wetlands. the organization grows plant material in its lower ninth ward nursery, educates about wetland eco-systems and horticulture, and partners with government entities, non-government organizations and individuals to re-plant threatened wetlands using volunteer labor.
